The stars of the PGA tour come to TPC Louisiana for one of the season's biggest tournaments. This annual competition has the top names in professional golf playing for over $6 million. It is a very fan-friendly event thanks to affordable admission fees and a close location just outside of New Orleans.
The history of this tournament dates back to 1938, but it moved to its new home in 2005 just after TPC Louisiana first opened. This challenging 18-hole course is a delight for spectators and players alike. Located in Avondale just 14 miles west of the French Quarter, the club is only a short drive from New Orleans. Ticket holders will have the choice to choose between valet and self-parking. Among the players to hit the links this year will be Padraig Harrington, Mark Calcavecchia, Scott Verplank, and Vijay Singh. Last year's champion Seung-Yul Noh from South Korea will also be back to defend his title.
Spectators can purchase day tickets for only $25 or buy a weekly pass for the whole tournament at $75. Saturday and Sunday will be the most exciting days to watch your favorite players show off their driving and putting skills. However, if you go early in the week on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, the crowds will be a little smaller, so you might be able to see the action better up close. The pass is valid from Wednesday to Sunday, so you won't miss a moment of drama on the golf course.
